Terms of Service

Before you use LOBB: These Terms govern your use of the LOBB platform. By creating an account, you agree to everything below. Read the key sections on payments (Section 5) and liability (Section 7) carefully.

Who We Are and What LOBB Does

LOBB is an online marketplace operated by LOBB Sports Technologies Limited, a company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. We connect tennis players ("Players") with independent tennis coaches ("Coaches") in Lagos and across Nigeria.

LOBB is a platform, not a coaching service. Coaches are independent professionals — not employees or agents of LOBB. LOBB facilitates discovery, booking, and payment. The coaching session itself is a direct service between the Player and the Coach.

Account Creation and Your Responsibilities

Creating an Account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on LOBB. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide — including your name, phone number, and any identity documents — is accurate and up to date.

LOBB uses phone number verification (OTP) as the primary authentication method. Keep your phone number and account access secure.

Your Responsibilities as a User

  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information at all times.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and notify LOBB immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • Use LOBB only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Treat all other users — coaches and players — with respect and professionalism.
  • Not attempt to book sessions outside the LOBB platform with coaches you discovered through LOBB, in order to circumvent our commission structure.
  • Not post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews or information.

Account Termination

You may close your LOBB account at any time by contacting support@lobb.ng. We will process your request within 7 working days.

LOBB may suspend or permanently close an account if a user breaches these Terms, engages in fraudulent behaviour, accumulates three or more verified complaints, or causes harm to another user or to the platform.

On account closure, any pending payouts to coaches will be processed before the account is deactivated. Players will be refunded for any upcoming confirmed bookings.

Platform Rules

  • LOBB is for booking tennis coaching sessions only. Any other use is prohibited.
  • Do not share contact details (phone number, social media handles, email) in your profile or in booking notes for the purpose of bypassing LOBB's booking system.
  • Do not submit fraudulent bookings, fake reviews, or false identity documents.
  • Do not use the platform to harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user.
  • LOBB reserves the right to remove any content, profile, or listing that violates these rules without prior notice.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, referral to relevant law enforcement authorities.

Bookings and Cancellation Policy

Making a Booking

When a Player selects a time slot and completes payment, the booking is confirmed. Both parties receive an SMS confirmation. The Coach's phone number is shared with the Player after payment to allow session coordination (court location, access, etc.).

Slots are held for 10 minutes during checkout. If payment is not completed within that window, the slot is released.

Cancellation Policy

Player cancels more than 24 hours before the session: Full refund. No fee.

Player cancels less than 24 hours before the session: 50% refund. The remaining 50% is split — 30% to the Coach (for reserved time), 20% to LOBB.

Coach cancels at any time: Player receives a full refund. Coach receives one strike on their account.

Coach no-show: Player receives a full refund. Coach receives one strike.

Player no-show: No refund. Coach receives 50% of the session fee via automatic payout release.

Three strikes on a Coach account triggers an account review and potential suspension.

Court Access

LOBB does not provide or guarantee court access. Each Coach profile states whether the coach has court access or whether the Player must arrange it. Players should confirm court logistics directly with the Coach after booking is confirmed.

Payment Terms

How Payment Works

All payments on LOBB are processed securely through Paystack, a licensed payment service provider in Nigeria. LOBB does not store your card details.

The total amount charged to the Player is the Coach's listed session rate plus a 5% LOBB service fee.

Example: A ₦20,000 session = ₦20,000 (Coach rate) + ₦1,000 (5% LOBB fee) = ₦21,000 total.

How Coach Payouts Work

LOBB holds the payment after a Player pays. The Coach does not receive funds immediately. Two hours after a session's scheduled start time, LOBB releases 85% of the Coach's session rate to the Coach's registered bank account. LOBB retains 15% of the session rate as its commission.

This means if a session does not happen as expected, LOBB can manage refunds before releasing funds. It is not an escrow service — LOBB itself is the party holding funds temporarily before disbursing them.

Refund Timing

Refunds are processed through Paystack and typically appear within 3–7 business days depending on your bank. LOBB does not control the speed of bank processing.

Disputes Over Payment

If you believe a payment error has occurred, contact support@lobb.ng within 48 hours of the session date. LOBB will investigate and respond within 5 business days.

Coach Verification and Standards

A "LOBB Verified" badge means the Coach has submitted a coaching demo video reviewed by the LOBB team, completed a profile approved by LOBB, and connected a verified Nigerian bank account. Verification is LOBB's internal standard — it is not a guarantee of coaching quality or professional qualification.

Players book Coaches based on profiles, ratings, and reviews. LOBB encourages Players to read reviews carefully and use the in-app review system after each session.

Limitations of Liability

LOBB is a marketplace platform. We connect Players with independent Coaches. We are not responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, or outcome of any coaching session.
  • Injuries sustained during a session.
  • Court access disputes between Players and Coaches.
  • Actions or omissions of any Coach or Player.
  • Loss of data beyond what is within our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, LOBB's total liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific booking that gave rise to the claim.

LOBB does not exclude liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under Nigerian law.

Intellectual Property

All content on the LOBB platform — including the brand name, the LOBB mark (the arc and ball symbol), the wordmark, the UI design, written content, and code — is the property of LOBB Sports Technologies Limited.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any LOBB content without written permission.

Coach profiles, photos, and demo videos uploaded by Coaches remain the property of the Coach. By uploading content to LOBB, you grant LOBB a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform and in LOBB's marketing materials.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint about a session, a payment, or another user, contact LOBB at support@lobb.ng in the first instance. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 5 business days.

If a complaint cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to attempt mediation before initiating any legal proceedings. Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

Changes to These Terms

LOBB may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and send an SMS notification to all registered users. Continued use of the platform after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If you do not agree with any update, you may close your account before the new Terms take effect.
